More planting!!

'Weeding'

Today Stephen asked Ms van der Spuy if he can get the Enviro-group together to do some weeding.

The weather was nice for a change and the sun was shining, so everybody got right into it.

Native Planting

On Friday, 2 December, the Enviro Group had to bring along a shovel, spare clothes and our gumboots.  We worked very hard and planted about 150 plants!

Our oceans

"Marine pollution comes in many different forms, shapes and sizes. It can effect the marine environment in different ways. It is important for the wellbeing of the oceans to prevent and reduce marine pollution".

There’s plenty you can do, either on your own or in a group, to make a huge difference:
1. Reduce your rubbish.
2. Make sure only rain goes down the drain. Most drains flow straight to the sea … which means we could end up swimming in anything that goes down them!
3. Take care of a local stream.

Maintaining our Vegetable Garden

We are working very hard in our garden, pulling out weeds and water our vegetable plants regularly to help them grow.

We are pleased to see how our plants are growing. We will monitor them to see when our crops should be harvested.

Planting

The EnviroGroup has created three cane structures on which to grow climbing Peas and Beans.
We also planted Musterd Green, Cabbage, Kohl Rabi, Spring onion and a Feijoa tree.
